On this page

FiniteHost is web hosting, business email and Python app hosting, run by Finite Skills Tech Soft Solutions (OPC) Private Limited, a company registered in India. You manage everything from one control panel at panel.finitehost.com, you pay in rupees through the finiteskills.com checkout, and every payment comes with a GST tax invoice.

This page explains what you get and how the guides in this help centre fit together. If you are new, read the guides in the Start here learning path in order. Each one takes a few minutes and ends with a link to the next.

Before you start#

  • You need an email address you can open right now. FiniteHost signs you in with a code sent to that address, so there is no password to remember.
  • For a website you need your own domain name, for example acme.in, bought from a registrar such as BigRock, GoDaddy, Hostinger or Cloudflare. FiniteHost does not sell domains.
  • For a GST invoice in your company's name, keep your GSTIN and billing address handy.

What FiniteHost gives you#

ProductWhat it is forWhat you get
Web hostingBusiness websites, WordPress, PHP sites, online shopsPHP 8.5, MariaDB databases, free HTTPS, Bunny CDN, SFTP, mailboxes, nightly backups
Python computeScripts, scheduled jobs, bots and workersPython 3 apps you run from the panel, schedules in Indian time, logs in the panel
Business emailMail on your own domain without a websiteMailboxes, webmail, IMAP and SMTP for phone and desktop apps, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records

Every plan has its own CPU, memory and disk limits enforced by the Linux kernel, so a busy neighbour cannot slow your site down. Plans are prepaid for a month or a year and never renew automatically.

How the panel is organised#

The panel's left sidebar groups every tool:

  • Overview: Dashboard and Resource usage.
  • Websites: Websites, Domains & DNS, SSL / HTTPS and CDN.
  • Email: Email accounts and Webmail.
  • Data & files: Databases, Files (SFTP) and Backups.
  • Software: Python apps and Cron jobs.
  • Account: Billing & plans, Invoices, Profile & GST and Help.

Each page header has a Learn how link that opens the matching guide here, and the ? button in the top bar opens a help panel with a search over these guides.

Your first hour, step by step#

  1. Choose a plan. Compare plans and pick the one that fits. See Choose a plan.
  2. Create your account. Sign in with an email code. See Create your account.
  3. Add billing details. Your legal name, address and optional GSTIN go on the tax invoice. See Billing details and GSTIN.
  4. Buy the plan. Pay on the finiteskills.com checkout with UPI, card or net banking. See Buy a plan.
  5. Add your website. Enter your domain and FiniteHost prepares the folder, CDN and certificate. See Add a website.
  6. Point your domain. Copy two DNS records into your registrar. HTTPS starts by itself a few minutes after they point to FiniteHost. See Connect your domain.
  7. Upload your site. Connect with an SFTP app such as FileZilla, or install WordPress. See Upload your website and Install WordPress.

What FiniteHost does not do (yet)#

We would rather tell you now than have you find out later:

  • No one-click WordPress or app installer. You install WordPress yourself with the step-by-step guide; it takes about 15 minutes.
  • No SSH shell. You manage files over SFTP and run Python code from the panel.
  • No phpMyAdmin or web file manager in the panel today.
  • No staging copies of a site.
  • FiniteHost nameservers are not live yet. You keep your domain's DNS at your registrar and add the records the panel shows.
  • No domain registration.
