Every webmail keyboard shortcut, the Ctrl+K command palette, right-click menus and other ways to work faster.

If you handle a lot of mail, the keyboard is faster than the mouse. FiniteHost Mail supports single-key shortcuts like Gmail, a command palette that reaches every feature, and right-click menus everywhere.
Before you start#
Sign in to webmail. Shortcuts pause while you are typing in a field, so they never interfere with writing.
Keyboard shortcuts#
Press ? in webmail to show this list on screen.

Command palette#
Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K) anywhere. Type a few letters of what you want and press Enter:
- Go to Inbox / Sent / Drafts / Outbox / Trash
- Compose new mail, Search mail, Refresh mailbox
- Toggle light / dark theme, Settings & profile
- Contacts, Directory, Contact groups, Follow-ups, Saved searches, Filters & rules, Templates, Quick steps
- Calendar, Sticky notes, Tasks, All inboxes, Storage analyzer
- Meeting invite, Confidential message, Mail merge
- Vacation responder, Notifications, Two-factor auth, Keyboard shortcuts, Support
Right-click menus#
- On a message: open, reply, mark read/unread, star, archive, snooze, flag for follow-up, pin, sweep from sender, VIP, mark as spam, delete, apply label.
- In the compose window: send, schedule, formatting, advanced mail options, table, drawing, attachments, links, emoji, images, print, save draft, discard.
- On an empty area: the full tool list, the same as the command palette.
Other time-savers#
- Quick steps run several actions in one click (Organise your mail).
- Templates and snippets fill in text you write often (Write and send mail).
- Saved searches keep your common queries in the sidebar (Rules and saved searches).
- Compact density (View → Compact) shows more messages per screen.
- Bulk selection: tick Select all, or tick several rows, then use the ribbon to archive, delete, label or mark them all.
Troubleshooting#
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Shortcuts do nothing | Click on the message list first, so the cursor is not in a text field. Close any open dialog. |
Ctrl+K opens the browser's search instead | Click inside the webmail page first, then press it again. |
R replies but r refreshes | Capital letters matter: Reply and Forward use Shift. |
