Refunds
When you can get your money back, how to ask, and how refunds and GST credit notes are paid.
On this page
If FiniteHost is not right for you, you can get a full refund within 7 days of your first payment for a plan. If we ever charge you by mistake, you get that money back whatever the date. This guide summarises the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is the binding version.
Before you start#
- Find the invoice number (like
FH2627-000042) under Invoices, or the Razorpay payment reference from your payment confirmation. - Write from your account's email address, the one you sign in with. It is how we know the request is really yours.
When you can get a refund#
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Within 7 days of your first payment for a plan, for any reason | Full refund |
| Charged twice for the same period | Full refund of the extra payment, any time |
| Charged but the plan was never set up | Full refund, any time |
| Long outage caused by a fault on our side | Refund of the affected amount, any time |
| Renewals, and first payments after 7 days | Unused time is not refunded |
There is nothing to cancel: plans never renew on their own. To stop, simply do not renew. See Renewals, grace period and expiry.
Ask for a refund, step by step#
- Write an email. Send it to billing@finitehost.com from your account's email address.
- Say what to refund. Include the invoice number or Razorpay payment reference, and one line on why (for example "within 7 days, not a fit" or "charged twice").
- Wait for our reply. We reply within 2 business days.
- Receive the money. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay. They are usually started within 5 to 7 business days; when the money reaches you depends on your bank.
- Keep the credit note. We issue a GST credit note against your invoice. It appears under Invoices with the type credit note.
Troubleshooting#
- No reply after 2 business days. Check your spam folder, then write again, quoting your first email's date.
- Refund approved but not in your account. UPI refunds are often quick; card and net-banking refunds can take longer at your bank's end. Ask us for the Razorpay refund reference to trace it with your bank.
