The FiniteHost panel works like the cPanel dashboards many hosts use: a sidebar of tools on the left, a top bar for search and your account, and a Dashboard with shortcuts and usage at a glance. This tour shows where everything is.

Before you start#

  • Sign in at https://panel.finitehost.com. See Create your account.
  • Most pages need an active plan. Without one they show "No hosting plan yet" with a Choose a plan button.

The Dashboard#

The Dashboard of a Pro plan.

From top to bottom:

  • Tiles: your Plan and its price, Status (for example "Running normally"), Paid until with the days left, and the Server your plan runs on.
  • Usage: rings for disk, CDN traffic this period, database size, and how many websites, mailboxes, databases and Python apps you have used out of your plan's allowance. Click a ring to open its page.
  • Tools: shortcut tiles grouped as Files, Databases, Domains, Email, Software, Security, Metrics and Billing.
  • General information: your account email, plan, subscription ID, server name and IP, SFTP host and user, mail server settings and the webmail address, each with a copy button.
  • Recent invoices: your last four invoices.

The sidebar#

On a phone, open the sidebar with the menu button at the top left. On a desktop, Collapse at the bottom of the sidebar shrinks it to icons.

The top bar#

  1. Find tools. Type in the search box, or press / or Ctrl K anywhere, to jump to a tool. Try "password", "DNS" or "logs". Use the arrow keys and Enter to open a result. Matching help guides are listed under the tools.
  2. Subscription picker. If you have more than one plan, choose which one the pages show.
  3. Theme. The theme button cycles between system, light and dark.
  4. Help. The ? button (or the ? key) opens the help panel: search these guides, or see the guides for the page you are on. Guides open in a new tab.
  5. Notifications. The bell shows a dot when something needs you, such as a payment due, a site waiting for DNS or databases over their size limit.
  6. Account menu. Your email address, shortcuts to Profile & GST, Billing & plans and Invoices, and Sign out.
The help panel. Search all guides, or start from the ones for the page you are on.

Help on every page#

  • Each page header has a Learn how link to the guide for that page.
  • Small ? icons next to tools and form fields explain them in one line and link to the exact part of a guide.
  • Help in the sidebar has common questions, a getting-started checklist and the support addresses.

Troubleshooting#

  • A page says "... does not include ...". Your current plan does not have that feature, for example Python apps on Spark. Upgrade, or switch subscription in the top bar.
  • "Your session ended. Sign in again." Sessions last 14 days. Sign in with a new code.
  • "The panel could not reach the server". Check your internet connection and press Try again.

What's next#
